So you asked me how I could clean my roof. If you're like me, the days of climbing on the roof are rare and distant, but it also has good reason to pay more attention and climb up to see. You see, pressure washers are ten times more likely to remove dirt and debris than pressure washers, but they are too powerful to clean the roof. Therefore, the best way to clean the roof is to use a sprayer and cleaning solution.
But before we go further into the process: What needs to be removed in the first place?
Remove black streaks, dirt, and dirt from the roof.
If you might wonder, these nasty black stripes are most likely algae on your roof, rather than dirt and mysterious feces falling from the sky. Yes, you'll definitely find dirt and other strange feces out there, but the unique black stripes are often the result of algae.

The truth is, it doesn't do any harm to the roof unless you have solar panels out there and it's not a worry. Having said that, it looks terrible, your neighbor may be tired of sight, and if you respect your roof, you'll consider doing a favor!

What chemicals can be used to clean your roof?

Vinegar & Baking Soda

Sure, vinegar and baking soda can remove anything from the roof, but there's really no need to look any more than bleach.

Bleach

Bleach is a wonderful agent for this work because it acts like acid rain and can destroy almost anything biologically green on Earth - something like blue-green algae. At the same time, you don't want to overuse this solution, and there are some bleaches that work better than others.

Types of bleach

Chlorine Bleach

You will find that many entrepreneurs use chlorine bleach, which is a very hard-working option. However, there is sometimes a risk that this type of bleach may damage tiles on your roof due to the high amount of sodium. Over time, this can also make shingles brittle or stiff and holistic, and it is not really the best choice.

Oxygen Bleach

Oxygen bleach, on the other hand, does not cause any damage to the tiles and even allows them to retain their original color. Therefore, I recommend this type of bleach cleaning your roof.

How to clean your roof in five simple steps.

As mentioned earlier, the jet washer is too powerful for the roof, so in its position, you need a spray gun that you can connect to the garden hose. However, in the process, using the right water and bleach mixture, 50:50 is the best ratio, which is critical.

Here are five simple steps to clean the roof:

Use a brush to remove large debris from the roof.

1. Create a 50:50 bleach solution, convert the bleach into water and oxygen, and pour it into the gun.
2. Spray a part of the roof and leave the solution there for at least 10 to 15 minutes. After this time has passed, wipe this part of the roof with a brush and continue to wet the surface if it dries in the process.
3. Rinse the roof with water and continue to rinse until the solution disappears.
